Use mandatory audits to attach checklist to a cleaning and make them mandatory, this means that the cleaners will not be able to finish a cleaning, before having answered all the questions or taken the mandatory pictures that you have required.
First make sure to create the audit that you would like to attach to a cleaning. Check out the link here to know how to create an audit: https://www.roomchecking.com/knowledge-base/audits/how-to-create-an-audit-template/
- There are different types of audits:
- Before Starting – The attendant cannot begin cleaning the room until the audit is completed.
- On Finishing – The attendant cannot mark the room as finished until the audit is completed.
- On Inspecting – The inspector cannot change the room status from "clean" to "inspected" until the audit is completed.
Note that you are able to attach different audits with different cleanings, or only with one type of cleaning. For example, maybe you would like to attach a mandatory audit only to the departure cleanings and not to the stay over cleanings.

- Click on the dropdown "choose an audit template":
3. In the dropdown you will see all the audit templates that you have created, choose the one that you would like to link with the cleaning
4. Once you have added the audit you want, don't foget to save the changes by clicking on UPDATE in the upright corner.
The cleaners will now see the checklist as mandatory when they clean a room (see below):
As you see, the DONE button is marked in grey, meaning that they cleaners are not able to click on it before they have finished the mandatory audit that now shows in the main screen. Once they have finished the audit, answered the required questions and taken the required pictures, the DONE button will turn green and they can now finish the cleaning.
